Do my friends need to install anything?

No. You share a link, it opens in their browser, and they claim their items there. Only the person who runs the split needs the app.

Does Fractal move my money?

No. Pay however your group already pays - cash, UPI, Venmo, bank transfer. Fractal records the payment and clears the balance.

Is it free?

Yes, Fractal is free to use. Receipt scanning has a monthly allowance that covers normal group life.

Is there an iPhone app?

The native app is Android for now. On iPhone, the full web app runs in the browser - and friends joining from a link never need an app on any phone.

Can I bring my Splitwise groups?

Yes. Export a group from Splitwise as CSV, import it into Fractal, and match the names. Expenses and balances carry over.

What if a split isn't equal?

That's the point of Fractal. Claim items person by person, share a dish between exactly the people who had it, and divide anything equally, by exact amounts, by percent, or by weights.

Everyone pays their share. Nobody keeps score.
